‘PomPom’ is very reliable, starts first go, very nice to drive. It has standard registration and I drive it every other day around town and it has regular runs out of town.
I bought it locally (Brisbane) about 3 years ago. I don’t know much of its history prior to that. Initially had an overheating problem but that has been resolved. Other work I’ve had done (with receipts):
Cylinder head, front brake calipers and pistons overhauled, radiator recore and many varied bits and pieces.
Could do with some TLC cosmetically. Some minor surface rust in typical spots. All panels are straight. One tear in front passenger seat upholstery.
Fun fact, this car has had a bit of media attention during my ownership due to my being founder and coordinator of Old Girls on The Road: a group for females who own and drive classic cars. Most recently it has featured at State Library of Qld’s exhibition Driven: every car has a story, which is on until 8 Feb 2026. Prior to that a double page spread in Woman’s Day Oct 2025.
Reluctant sale as not enough undercover parking since purchasing another ‘old girl’.
Located at Darra.
